How do I start speed reading?
Paste or type any text into the app, then tap the play button. Words will flash one at a time at your selected speed. Start at a comfortable WPM (words per minute) and gradually increase as you build confidence.
What is ORP (Optimal Recognition Point)?
ORP is the character position where your eye naturally focuses for fastest recognition — typically 2–3 characters from the start of a word, slightly left of center. Speed Read Pro highlights this point to minimize the brain's search time per word.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel or change your plan:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions
- Find Speed Read Pro and tap it
- Select Cancel Subscription or change your plan
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Speed Read Pro, navigate to the subscription screen, and tap “Restore Purchases.” Make sure you're signed into the Apple ID that originally purchased the subscription.
Can I use Speed Read Pro on multiple devices?
Yes. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID and is available on all your iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices signed into the same account.
How do I import articles from Safari or other apps?
In Safari, tap the Share button and select “Speed Read Pro” from the share sheet. The article text will be automatically extracted and ready to read. You can also use the Action extension in any app that supports the iOS share sheet.
Is my reading data stored or shared?
No. All reading content and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, sync, or share your personal reading data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The app isn't working correctly. What should I do?
Try these steps first:
- Force-quit the app and reopen it
- Check for an update in the App Store
- Restart your device
