Our commitment
ForLater is built by Mahanti Corp LLC and designed to respect your privacy. We collect only what is needed to make the app work, and your saved items never leave your devices and your private iCloud account.
What we store on your device
Your saved URLs, notes, tags, and refreshed price history are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. When you sign in to iCloud, this data syncs to your private CloudKit database — encrypted, scoped to your Apple ID, and never visible to us.
Anonymous analytics
ForLater records anonymous usage events through PostHog (an analytics provider) to help us understand how people use the app. These events do not include any personal identifiers — no name, email, IDFA, or contents of your saved items. You can disable this entirely in Settings → Anonymous analytics.
Network requests
When you save a URL or tap Refresh, ForLater fetches that page from the original shopping site to extract its title, image, and price. These requests come from your device and use a standard Safari user agent. They are subject to that site's own privacy policy.
Subscriptions
Subscription transactions are handled by Apple via StoreKit. We never see your payment details. We can see whether you have an active subscription so the app can unlock the appropriate features.
Sharing data with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only third-party services involved are PostHog (anonymous analytics, opt-out available) and Apple (App Store, iCloud, StoreKit).
Data retention
Saved items live on your device and in your iCloud account until you delete them. Deleting the app removes the local database. To clear iCloud data, sign in to iCloud Settings and delete the ForLater data category.
Children's privacy
ForLater is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the change in the app's release notes.
